Brandon is a PhD Candidate in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin and is co-advised by Dr. Maura Borrego and Dr. Tyrone Porter. He holds a B.S. in Chemical and Biological engineering from Colorado School of Mines with a minor in biochemistry. Brandon has a broad range of research interests and has experience with both traditional wet lab work and qualitative research methodologies. Previously, Brandon worked on liposome synthesis and drug delivery, but his current work focuses on understanding the experiences of LGBTQ+ identifying engineering students at the undergraduate and graduate level. Brandon is very passionate about Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in higher education and strives to make the climate in engineering more welcoming through both his research and with advocacy and outreach.
